Vor mehr als drei Jahren saß Ismo Karttunen bei seinem Zahnarzt und mußte sich - wieder einmal -einer schmerzhaften Behandlung unterziehen. Damals kam ihm die Idee, das Leben der Patienten zu erleichtern, in dem man sie ablenkt. Aus einer High-Tech-Brille aus dem Arsenal der US-Armee hat Ismo Karttunen eine Art Minikino für die Zahnarzt-Praxis entwickelt. Während der Behandlung vertreibt sich der Patient die Zeit mit Kurzfilmen und Videoclips.

Valor Econômico: Nuclep terá tecnologia da Wärtsilä
O presidente mundial da finlandesa Wärtsilä, Ole Johansson, anunciou ontem acordo de cooperação técnica e industrial com a Nuclebrás Equipamentos Pesados (Nuclep), ligada ao Ministério de Ciência e Tecnologia. O acordo prevê transferência de tecnologia da Wärtsilä para a Nuclep produzir, em Itaguaí (RJ), motores de baixa rotação de dois tempos, usados em grandes navios, como Suezmax, Aframax e Panamax.
