Monitor: Millennium Technologie Preise
Finnland vergibt alle zwei Jahre die mit insgesamt 1.145.000 Euro weltweit höchst dotierten Technologie-Preise. Nachdem 2004 und 2006 mit Tim Berners-Lee (WWW-Erfinder) und Shuji Nakamura (Erfinder der weißen LED) zwei IT-Forscher den Hauptpreis erhielten, durfte sich heuer der amerikanische Biotechnologe Robert Langer darüber freuen.
