Abloy Oy is opening up a new era in locking-up residences. The company has launched an innovation in which the locking controls a crime-warning system. Nothing similar has ever been seen on the market previously.

This is a new standard in locking-up residences that will start a completely new culture in locking homes,” says Kari Mononen, VP Construction Locking at Abloy.

The system, which goes under the name ABLOY® CONTROL, is meant for new and already-built detached and terraced housing. For residents the system means not only security but also convenience.

The system increases in line with customers’ needs. The complete package includes control of the entire home’s automatic system: doors, electric locks, door automation, burglary and fire alarms and shutting off water and electricity.

Exports

The innovation is based on purposeful development and solid expertise. The system was introduced in Finland in August 2007. It was given an excellent reception in its home country and will now be exported, according to Mononen.

“We want to provide homes with technically sophisticated and wirelessly controlled comprehensive solutions. We see very considerable growth potential on the market,” Mononen stresses.
