Everybody wants to visit Habbo Hotel
There are already 40 million Habbo characters worldwide. In
recent times Habbo characters have conquered large markets
in Asia. A Habbo Hotel in China was opened at the beginning
of 2006 and the Korean market is being looked at.
Habbo Hotel, the award-winning main product of Sulake Corporation
Oy, which concentrates on online teen communities and games,
is a community online game world for young people. Habbo Hotel
provides a social, pleasant, non-violent game community that
inspires creativity.
The game community, which opened in Finland in 2000, is already
operating in 16 countries on four continents. Worldwide, the
Habbo Hotel website is visited by about 4.5 million different
users a month. The idea interests young people regardless
of country or culture. The four-figure growth curve shows
that Sulake is among the fastest-growing technology companies
in Europe.
The company is aiming is to build Habbo into a new type of
international youth brand that is anchored in the largest
online youth community. The Habbo brand will extend to include
mobile games and content, animation series and merchandising
products. Resources are also being targeted at developing
game and community concepts.
