Invitation to the Technology Day and the Inauguration of Elcoteq's new plant in St. Petersburg, Russia

Elcoteq Network Corporation will inaugurate a new manufacturing facility in St. Petersburg, Russia on October 7, 2005. The event is part of the annual Technology Day that the city of St. Petersburg is organizing for the first time this year.

The Technology Day seminar will be arranged at Elcoteq's new plant and the agenda includes topics such as Technology Parks, Special Ecomic Zones in Russia and Global Investor Expectations.

The facility will be inaugurated in the presence of highly ranked government representatives from Russia, Finland and the city of St. Petersburg as well as the company's top management including Mr Antti Piippo, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Principal Shareholder of Elcoteq, Mr Jouni Hartikainen, President and CEO and Mr Jukka Jäämaa, COO.

We cordially invite you or a representative from your media to join the seminar and/or the inauguration ceremony on October 7, 2005. The details of the event are as follows:

Time: Seminar at 9.00 - 12.00 am (local time)
Inauguration of the plant at 1.00 - 3.00 pm (local time)
Plant tour at 1.45 pm
Press conference at 2.10 pm
Registration of the guests for the inauguration ceremony will begin at 12.00
