The brand new production plant of the Finnish cosmetics firm
Noiro utilizes the very latest in robot technology. The plant
is situated in Espoo, very close to the company's product
development unit and the parent company's medical research
centre.
The plant cost a total of 21 million euros. An investment
like this in the cosmetics business is a rarity in Scandinavia.
The working facilities in the plant have been designed totally
for the core activities, and the solutions that have been
implemented have ambitiously tried to respond to the challenges
of the future: the arrangement of the premises, the choice
of surface materials and the state-of-the-art ventilation
solutions have increased the level of hygiene and been a preparation
for possible future demands made by the authorities. The capacity
of the plant's production lines has been raised considerably
by increasing the degree of automation and applying modern
technology.
The production plant has been built with the customer-oriented
process approach in mind. The production cells operate flexibly
close to each other and make it possible to react quickly
in changing conditions. Modern logistics solutions will bring
about an improvement in controlling and managing production.
The cell production process has been located in a certain
restricted space, and one team will be making a product from
start to finish.
Finnish natural surroundings provide well-being
A cold climate and violent fluctuations in the seasons mean
that skin-care products must have quite special properties.
Products developed and produced in Finland are suited to demanding
natural conditions and operate effectively elsewhere in the
world, looking after and protecting skin from the damage caused
by impurities and stress. The gifts from Finnish nature such
as the cloudberry, blackcurrant, willow bark, rosebay willowherb
and peat are actively utilized in the company's products.
The logic of purity, health and beauty is encapsulated in
the product ideology - all under the name of well-being.
