Conference on Chemical Safety
20-22 May 2008 at Helsinki Fair Centre

The first annual HICCS conference, organised by HELSINKI REACH CENTRE, will be a meeting point for chemical companies and their representatives on one hand, and for service providers on the other, in order to benefit the importers affected by REACH.

A special attention in the conference of 2008 will be given to discussion and co-ordination of actions only a few days before the pre-registration period under REACH will start on 1 June 2008.

The keynote speaker at the conference will be Geert Dancet, the Director General of ECHA, the European Chemical Agency.

The Ninth International Partnership Conference
1 - 5 September 2008 Espoo, Finland & Stockholm, Sweden

Finland will be hosting The Ninth International Partnership Conference in September 2008. The conference is focusing on business and education partnerships. The conference venues will be Dipoli Conference center in Espoo, Finland and Stockholm, Sweden.

The theme of the conference being "Interpreting the Present to Influence the Future" the workshops will focus on best practices in cooperation between schools and enterprises and the future challenges of working life.

The conference will highlight and draw together best practices from both Nordic and International perspectives on what is generating successful local, regional and international education, business and community partnerships.
