Prewise, which specializes in corporate e-learning, has its eyes firmly set on the international market. Pilot projects are already starting in Thailand and China. New markets are being sought in Europe.
Prewise Group Oy, which was established in 2004, has set off at a fast pace. Besides Finland, the company has operating locations in Lithuania, China and Thailand.
E-learning in Finland has traditionally been a focus for educational institutions and universities, but Prewise has concentrated clearly on the training needs of companies. The customers comprise international firms who are expecting their co-partners to be active on international markets.
“Only international activity can bring a volume big enough to guarantee development and growth,” says Iiro Pohjanoksa, CEO of the Prewise Group.
“The prediction for international growth in the e-learning sector is more than 25 per cent. We believe that the growth will continue to be strong and in Finland it will even accelerate in the coming years.”
From Asia to Europe
The pilot project underway in Thailand is an investment package designed for bank personnel. In China the planning cooperation is being done is association with the China National School of Administration.
“By pilot we mean an e-learning project implemented in accordance with our planning and production model which can be used for testing the suitability of our operating method and work tools to local markets. If the pilot is successful, the cooperation can be continued and extended,” Pohjanoksa says.
After the start-up of operations in Asia it will be Europe’s turn next, in particular Great Britain, Germany and Sweden.
Entire process assessed
Prewise’s main products are sales and customer support services, the mobilizing of strategy, processes and operating methods, brand training, and the development of staff competence. The company deals with the monitoring and management of the e-learning as well as content production and technology.
Solutions are constructed for the customer that increase the knowledge and competence capital of a customer organization and improve its operations. The success of the entire process is Prewise’s strength.
“Very often the monitoring and management of e-learning remain neglected. We have a tool for this that leaves nothing or nobody unnoticed, even though there are thousands of trainees in various parts of the world. The results of the process can be assessed exactly,” Pohjanoksa affirms.
