Fibox Oy Ab, which specializes in the development and production of plastic products, operates smoothly between Europe and Asia. Fibox's new plant in China focuses on the large-scale serial production of demanding plastic products.

The key customers for the plant, which was opened last year in Guangzhou, are global western companies operating in southern China. The ultra-modern production plant means a considerable increase in production capacity for Fibox in the Asian region.

"We're aiming at providing a better service for customers by concentrating our operations as close as possible to the customer and markets. The natural location for a plant suited to large-scale serial production is in the APAC region, where a considerable portion of our customers have transferred or are transferring their production," says Pekka Vahtila, Director, Contract Manufacturing.
In addition to the plant in Guangzhou, Fibox has operated a plant in South Korea, since 1995, as well as a joint venture, Fibox Dalian, since 2002 and a sales office in Shanghai since 2003.
"With an increasing number of projects, we are developing our processes and technologies in response to the growing demand in a changing market situation. Smooth operating between Europe and Asia will bring challenges of a new type but also opportunities. Without global operations, we would lose an important part of our present competitiveness."
Besides mass production, Fibox excels in the design and implementation of demanding plastic products. In addition to effective technology and expertise, customers are provided with services at all stages of the products' lifecycle.
