The Opti 4G, which was wholly developed by Ponsse, is the
most advanced harvester information system on the market.
Its automation helps the operator cut and sort timber according
to the end user's needs. Thanks to real-time and two-way information
flows, both the machine operator and the harvesting organisation
are continually up-to-date on the goals and results of the
harvest. This provides maximal yield of the targeted dimensions
and boosts harvest productivity and the degree of refining.
Satellite positioning and stand maps help the operator determine
the location of his machine, the boundaries of the stand to
be harvested and possible exclusions. The operator can monitor
the results of his work numerically or with the help of versatile
graphics. He also has onboard access to the Internet and e-mail.
