INTELLIGENT TYRES
The intelligent tyre technology developed by Nokian Tyres
enables continuous contact between the tyres. Each tyre contains
an intelligent unit that acts as a measuring instrument. The
intelligent unit registers tyre pressure and temperature changes
and transmits this data to a Bluetooth-capable mobile phone
acting as a receiver. In the future, the system can be expanded
and applied to numerous areas such as advance warning of hydro
and slush planing, monitoring of tyre wear, car alarms and
logistics solutions.
