INDUSTRY OUTLOOK - ELECTRONICS
The electronics and electrotechnics industry comprises the
manufacture of telecommunications equipment, electrical machines
and instruments. Innovative solutions in electronics and electrotechnics
can be found in production processes and everywhere in our
surroundings from mobile phones to wind power plants, from
space technology to sport and medicines.
The electronics and electrotechnics industry accounted for
almost 30 per cent of Finland’s total exports in 2001.
Almost three-quarters of these exports are telecommunications
networks and mobile phones.
