MEDIA HOMES
YIT's first media homes equipped with broadband network access
were completed during the summer of 2000. A dedicated switchboard
in each apartment lets the resident make modifications to
the apartment's information network and establish custom connections
for different rooms. In addition to the currently available
multimedia and e-commerce services, residents will be able
to get such future services as wristband medical emergency
call buttons and home nursing care or efficient telecommuting
and distance learning with video transmissions.
