Keiski Design develops flexible living solutions to suit
the needs of different groups of people. The kitchen in the
picture exhibits several solutions that improve comfort and
safety. The drawer units under the working level move on wheels,
which allows their use while sitting in a wheelchair. The
finger notches on the edges of the working levels give a means
of support and increase safety. The top cupboards have sliding
or folding doors, thus avoiding dangerous situations from
arising when the doors are open. The drawer units below all
working levels can be pulled out, thus avoiding any need to
reach behind the cupboards. The whole kitchen can be height-adjusted
as one piece, since it is not fastened to the wall, but stands
freely on the floor.
