Foreign Export of Finnish Foods 2006
Export of Finnish foods amounted to over 1 billion euros in
2006. The most important export countries are Russia, Estonia,
Sweden, USA and Germany. The most important export foods from
Finland are cheese, butter and other milk fats, sucrochemical
products, pork, chocolate, and alcoholic beverages.

Finnish Functional Foods
Finland is considered the world leader in functional foods,
or foods that are both nutritious and prevent illness. This
is due to a long tradition of preventative healthcare in Finland.
